ZoomInfo acquires employee review website Comparably
Senior Web Designer. Web Designer. Data Analyst III. Excellent but challenging role in regards to time management. There is a lot happening with several recent acquisitions. ZoomInfo continues to excel and grow its business which is great for account management. Pros Flexible Remote Work. Earnings Potential here is real. It’s software sales, it’s a grind, that’s the case anywhere. The number is always going to get bigger, that’s the priority. Not saying it’s a bad things, if your goal is simply to make as much money as possible at any cost, it’s genuinely a great opportunity.
If work life balance is a priority, probably not. Thera are a ton of issues I had with this company so let me break it down one at a time: 1. Leads – As an inbound sales rep here, you rely heavily on your inbound leads.
I get maybe 2 a day and both are usually bottom of the barrel leads. A couple people from my class who were liked started booking CEOs and VPs and all my leads were bad job titles who would never need our service. They also promote based off of favoritism.
I was constantly a leader in dials made and outreach effort but never booked because my leads were that bad 2. These lists are people who have inbounded prior and nobody has been able to contact. Only issue is… SDRs going after the same 3 lists is a nightmare. Its very aggressive and SDRs fight all the time over who called who first. Well below industry standard. You are just a number.
Pros Work from home, large tech stack, decent base pay. Cons Day to day tasks, favoritism, stress. Yes There are 7 helpful reviews 7 No. Work is a little repetitive but my team was great. ZoomInfo is an incredible company to work for. The company is growing exponentially, there is every opportunity in front of you.
The culture is great. We collaborate, we compete. I recommend ZoomInfo to anyone looking for a career change, change of scenery, or entering the workforce for the first time. Cons You have to want it. If you’re looking for a lazy come and go ‘job’, this isn’t it.
Working at ZoomInfo requires grit and determination for success. If you are looking to hone your skills and fully embrace, learn from, and use your previous experience of scaling a start up to an enterprise company, this is the place for you.
There is no lack of interesting, challenging, and sophisticated projects. Leadership is embedded in the process of scaling and collaboration, insight, and the “One Team, One Dream” mentality is prevalent. Is it always easy, no. In fact, every day is a challenge, but no challenge, no change. Pros Flexible Vacation, Hybrid working model, smart, motivated teams and individuals.
Cons Growing pains, moving from reactive to proactive. ZoomInfo is an awesome place to work and grow your career! If you put in consistent effort and come in with a positive attitude, it will pay off. They promote heavily internally and there are so many opportunities for advancement. ZoomInfo also invests heavily in learning and development for employees.
The company offers us a competitive compensation and benefits package. The best part about working at ZoomInfo is the people. Pretty much everyone I’ve met has been friendly and helpful, and I’ve built lifelong friendships here. With coworkers and managers being so passionate about work, the hardest part about working at ZoomInfo might be drawing boundaries and maintaining a healthy work-life balance, but it’s definitely doable.
Pros Great people, exciting culture, opportunities for growth. Been with ZI for nearly 5 years If you can thrive in that mindset, you will crush it here. Work life balance can be a bit tough but just like sales anywhere, if you are hitting your quota, leadership really doesnt care beyond that. If you arent and want to take lots of time and work , thats a different story, but that should be pretty obvious in Sales.
Pros Good office, leadership value employees, new ideas are welcome, product and space are amazing. Cons Front line employees think its not okay to take time off, Which is absolutely not true, Leadership just needs to communicate that better which they are trying to do. This place could really be a great place if the CEO and upper management stepped away. They waste their talent fighting each other over deadlines and don’t leave enough time to communicate and improve processes.
Everyone works hard and does a great job, but the only reward is a “thank you-please do more”. I want to love this place so much, but you will be watching each co-worker breakdown and then leave. Pros People while they stay , ambition, morning snacks. Fast-growing company with tons of opportunity. ZoomInfo is the ideal place to work for self-starters who like to be creative and problem solve. The company is growing quickly, so every day brings something new and different.
The people here are wonderful to work with. Haven’t heard from them since. But given the reviews here, I am guessing I might be harassed throughout the week. Not professional. He also had no idea what my position was at a hotel Corporate Travel Sales Manager but insists that thousands of hotels use them. If plenty of hotels use you it’s mainly for leads of corporate travelers to try and secure business.
He didn’t even bother to show me how the platform worked and instead ended the call abruptly saying let’s not waste anyones time. Horrible sales and customer service. Quite a joke. Zooming gathers incorrect information on business revenue, business addresses, employee names, and more.
It is all wrong. They are a complete joke and should be shut down. It should be illegal to do that they do. Someone needs to lock them up. I made the mistake of signing up for a free trial. Don’t do it! They hound you on the phone constantly. Call after call from different numbers. I eventually downloaded a RoboKiller app and now let that answer them Tip for consumers: Do not sign up for the free trial – you will never get rid of them!
This is a bunch of low lives. They spidered our site and made up fake info about us. It’s just a fraud masquerading as a legit business. We tried contacting them to no avail. If it is correct data, you’re helping their scheme. Or if you do sign up, consider writing false data. Feed them their own medicine. Hello Josie, I am very sorry to hear about your negative experience. Companies are able to claim their profiles and verify if it is up-to-date information.
Zoominfo is more interested in enforcing their auto renew clause than actually working with their clients. You will not hear from your customer service rep until AFTER the renewal clause date has come and gone. They are not interested in finding out whether your company is using the tool or if you are dissatisfied with it. They are interested in the renewal clause. Check BBB rating. They stole your personal informaiton, post on their website for profit and refuse to delete it!
I have contacted them many times and request they delete my personal cell phone and email info. But got no response at all! Zoominfo go to hell! Recently talked to one of their sales reps closer. I felt like I was dealing with a car salesman or timeshare closer 25 years ago. He bad mouthed their competition and tried to get me to commit to 15 k on the spot.
Historically companies with this old style sales approach are trying to cover up flawed products or services. The salesman was probably a proud graduate of Trump University. Have not heard from Zoominfo in over a year and now they are threatening me with collections and auto renewing my account.
Awful business practice. Buyer beware. I just heard from my attorney on the final offer from Zoom info. This is Monday so I have to use my payroll and rent to pay them off. I will be very happy if I can keep anyone from going through this with this company. Do your research and use someone else. Since my last review I have hired an attorney to try and settle my account with Zoominfo. They will not just cancel the contract so they sent a collection agency after me. They do not discuss that you cannot cancel the program if you are not satisfied and they do not tell you about needing 60 days’ notice if you are not going to renew.
If you miss the 60 day window, they auto-renew you and you cannot get out of it. Through my attorney, we made a reasonable offer to settle since I’ve already paid a quarter of the contract and I haven’t used my credits 7 months, but they rejected it.
They don’t care about being in a pandemic and I would have to borrow money to pay this off. Look at their competitors that are less expensive and may offer a month-to-month service rather than being locked in for a full year with no way out. They are very deceptive. My new salesperson wanted this service. It was expensive but I figured the money it would generate would pay for it.
I used it for one quarter but it was not generating enough business and during the pandemic, I just could not afford it. I stopped using it and told customer service I needed to cancel it. I had to pay or be turned over to collection, so in 2 days I will start getting collection calls and my credit will most likely be ruined. Do not use them. They used our company info and make up information. The owners name listed is a lies. Employees and revenue all lies.
Total fraud – no respect for privacyThey posted wrong information about me without my permission. I submitted request to remove my information multiple time.
They posted wrong information about me without my permission. I submitted request to remove my information multiple time- Terrible hijacking of information. ZoomInfo delivers the most accurate B2B contact data and B2B contact lists to fuel your business initiatives. Jobs Recruiting Share Share on Facebook. Data Analyst III. Fast-growing company with tons of opportunity.
ZoomInfo is the ideal place to work for self-starters who like to be creative and problem solve. The company is growing quickly, so every day brings something new and different.
The people here are wonderful to work with. The company runs lean so everyone has to pull their weight and then some.
This is definitely a company for people who like to work. If you just want to put in your 8 hours and forget about it, this may not be the place for you. Pros Good pay and benefits, fun colleagues, fast-growing, highly respected product. The job is largely pointless. Basically googling and double checking what their AI program missed online.
The training and onboarding process is great and they set you up quickly and efficiently and teach a lot in the first few weeks. Afterwards, however, there is no progress and nothing of interest to do and everyone who I have met has the same goal of “hit your number. Pros Paid Training and Grace Period. Cons Low pay, micromanaging, biased manager hiring process. The company itself is impressive in that it is a Unicorn company growing rapidly. There are also some decent perks but mostly available to higher-level employees.
As a researcher, the pay met minimum wage. I had a great first 6 months with the company until my team got dissolved due to automation. After that, I was moved to 4 different company research teams where I can say I learned absolutely nothing that is transferable to any other type of work I have done in the past.
I always hit my goal here and the work was more monotonous than challenging. There is no real skill set that is provided to you by looking up how many employees work at a company 50 different times on google and then calling that company’s HR department to ask the same question. I had a new and great manager every time I was moved to another team, I worked with a lot of great people.
I ended up being laid off during a scheduled Zoom call. This was during the pandemic, so understandably everything is currently out of wack, but it was just unfortunate timing. No experience is a waste so I do thank Zoominfo for the time I had with them and this will be an opportunity for a fresh start. Pros free cereal, free fruit, free coffee. Cons micromanage, tiny workspace, no diversity, lack of culture. Yes There are 2 helpful reviews 2 No. Pros Managers are good people good tech stack training.
I recently began working at Zoominfo after its acquisition by discoverorg and the ipo. What really attracted me to this company is they live by their values. If you have ideas, have a plan you get buy in quickly to implement your ideas. I am so energized by this type of culture since previously I struggled in other companies where I had to sell my ideas to many people and many times that most of my work was creating decks. By the time approval came – we missed the window of opportunity.
It really made me assess where I was spending most of my time and the value I was adding since my time is precious. Zoominfo welcomes diverse points of view and gives you the room to test your ideas. I love being empowered since we all bring important perspectives to the table and should have a voice. Pros Competitive compensation, equity ownership in the company, collaborative team culture, inspiring leadership.
Yes There are 2 helpful reviews 2 No There are 1 unhelpful reviews 1. Some of the talent and management are off-the-charts! The company is moving at a break-neck pace. They have large, untapped markets for future growth, and a lot of cash from the IPO. Pros Good brand name.
Nice office space. Cons Management in some groups seems to lack direction, but thinks they’re being “agile”. The only reason I’m considering leaving is because we’re moving out of state. The culture, leadership and coworkers are all awesome!
Yes No There are 1 unhelpful reviews 1. The company is rapidly growing, still maintaining the healthy work environment. There are lots of growth opportunities if you are working hard and your management cooperates. Management does not respect people. New ideas are not welcome. People get fired all the time, with no warning or reason.
Employees are expected to work essentially around the clock, with no remote options. Fast paced company with tons of growth.
The benefits are great. The location is tough to get to. Seems like they are headed in the right direction. Great place to work
